Connected to the Sea

Galapagaean fishermen have a unique relationship with the surrounding seas. But as the human presence changes on the islands, so too must the fishermen adapt.

Featured on Living Galapagos as one of 18 multimedia stories documenting life in the Galapagos Islands.

My role: I reported, shot and edited the entire story as part of a month-long documentary project in the Galapagos Islands. For the larger project, I also edited the (intro video) and was the primary copy editor for text assets.

Family First

Joe Breschi has rebuilt his home life from tragedy and the North Carolina lacrosse program from irrelevance. And he’s done both with the same mentality: Family comes first.

My role:

• Video editor, photographer, primary videographer – From the first interview to the publish date, I shot and edited this video in a week.
• An accompanying text story was written by Anna Kim, and additional video contributions were made by Perry Landers.

Interactive: UNC Football ’08

In 2008, North Carolina football had its most successful regular season in more than 10 years. Relive it all with this “Season in Review,” featuring the sights and sounds from every game on the schedule.

I completed this interactive as my final project for a multimedia journalism class. It was later featured in the Daily Tar Heel. As one of the Daily Tar Heel’s football beat writers, I had access to the team throughout the year, and I turned that into a multimedia “Season in Review,” featuring audio, photos and text from every game.

Delaware Opens Football Practice

The University of Delaware had high hopes for its 2010 football season. It all started with an early morning on the first day of training camp.

This video is a feature on the University of Delaware’s first football practice of the season. I shot and edited the whole thing during one morning and afternoon. It was featured on DelawareOnline.com, website of the Delaware News Journal.
